Our commitment
The safeguarding of every young person connected with our placements is our absolute and non-negotiable priority. Elevate Beyond operates in full compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE). Our founder spent nearly a decade as a frontline Social Worker in child protection — safeguarding is not a box-ticking exercise for us. It is the foundation of how we operate.
Safer recruitment — our seven-point checklist
- ✓Enhanced DBS check with children's barred list — via FCSA-accredited umbrella body or DBS Update Service
- ✓DBS Update Service registration — enables instant ongoing status verification at no cost
- ✓Minimum two professional references — at least one from direct work with children; verified by phone not email only
- ✓Right to work verification — original documents inspected and copies retained for 6 years
- ✓Online and social media safer recruitment check — per KCSiE guidance
- ✓Prohibition from teaching check — for all QTS-holding candidates via Teacher Services
- ✓Signed candidate agreement — safeguarding obligations, code of conduct, and GDPR consent confirmed
Single Central Record
Elevate Beyond maintains a Single Central Record (SCR) for all registered candidates. This is available to commissioning bodies on request. All records retained for a minimum of 6 years in compliance with statutory guidance.
